H&M Conscious Collection 2014 – Sporty Romanticism

Here’s a sneak peak at the H&M Conscious Essentials collection for Spring 2014. Channel your inner ballerina and throw in a dash of sporty vibes and you’ve got yourself these beauts:

HM-Conscious-Collection

Although these pieces might feel like they belong in a dance studio, the designs are versatile enough to mix and match.

The understatedly cool seven piece Conscious essentials are made from sustainable materials, such as as Monocel (a bamboo fiber), recycled polyester, Lycra, organic cotton, and Tencel blends, and takes inspiration from the movement and shapes of modern dance. With shades of pale pink, white, and grey, I’d describe the collection as sporty romanticism.

I cannot wait to get my hands on these Eco-friendly pieces, especially the pale pink midi skirt, which is a first for me, the midi-virgin, because to put it bluntly, I’m pretty short. However, I figure if the petite Miroslava Duma can rock ‘em, then so can I (here’s hoping *fingers crossed*). I’d team that girly delight up with the grey bralette, a pair of stunning Saint Laurent classic Jane ankle strap 110 sandals, and then as my girl Lainy from Haute Inhabit would say, “throw some leather on it” to complete the look.

The collection lands in stores mid-February but if you’re like me you’ll beat the rush and shop online at HM.com. I’ve convinced myself that I need the whole range, that way I’ll look good whilst simultaneously helping the environment. Spoken like the true shopaholic that I am.
