What’s your personality type?

If you still think star-signs are fun and scarily accurate then you clearly haven’t been living in the real world amigo. I myself am more inclined towards the scientific approach to generalising people and so I present to you the Jung Typology Test: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

A bit of background info:

Carl Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist who initially believed that people with various personalities had different ways in which they perceived the world. He hypothesized that there were three important channels (Introversion-Extroversion, Sensing-Intuition and Thinking-Feeling) through which people experienced the world.

It was during World War II when Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers began working on a system which they hoped would help women find the right jobs. They based their system on Jung’s theory of personality types and added another dimension to the existing three dichotomies, the Judging-Perception dichotomy.

In essence it is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make everyday decisions.

There are 16 possible type combinations and you can check the meaning of your 4-letter result along with the strengths of preferences and the description of your personality type here: http://typelogic.com/

In case you’re wondering, I am an INTJ which is apparently the second rarest personality there is! Do let me know what you get and if you think it is an accurate description of your personality.
